I think we all have high hopes of 2021 being a better year, and although we’re off to a slightly rocky start, I do truly believe that 2021 is going to see us move on to bigger and brighter things.
Firstly, in our personal lives, we’re finally starting to see some real progress in our house built on Arran and are extremely excited to be able to move into our very own Scottish-abode by the end of the year!
With my business head on, it felt appropriate to set some new year business resolutions to help stay accountable and ensure we achieve our goals by year-end.
New Year Business Resolutions
My first Business Resolution is to finally get to grips with Quickbooks, and get my accounts all online. I’ve found a lovely local accountant and bookkeeper on Arran who is helping me get all 21st Century, and they’re in the process of getting me streamlined! This is going to free up a lot more time to be creative and work on some amazing new designs for our clients.My second is to dedicate more time to charity and I’m pleased to say that I already have a jump start on that. I’ve started working with a great charity, The Ehlers-Danlos Support UK, to create some leaflets and brochures to help promote the amazing work that they do, and of course, to also help with all-important fundraising. Set up in 1987 to support, advise and inform those living with the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, Ehlers-Danlos Support UK is the largest UK charity that exclusively represents and supports people with all types of EDS.
